Leslie Werner de Soliz
Leslie Werner de Soliz was born in Detroit, Michigan, and received her undergraduate degree in 1978 and MBA in 1981 from the University of Detroit. She has lived all over the United States and in Germany, finally landing in Houston, Texas, where she obtained her law degree from the University of Houston in 1987 and was admitted to the State Bar of Texas that same year. Ms. de Soliz is licensed to practice before all state courts in Texas, including the Texas Supreme Court and the Court of Criminal Appeals. She has been admitted to practice before the United States Supreme Court, as well as the United States Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals and the federal district courts for the Northern, Western and Southern Districts of Texas. Ms. de Soliz passed additional educational requirements and exhaustive testing to earn board certification in Civil Appellate Law from the Texas Board of Legal Specialization in 1992.
Ms de Soliz is very active in Rotary International, having served on the board of directors from 2003-2006; as Vice President from 2007-2008, President-Elect from 2008-2009, and President of the Victoria North Side Rotary Club in 2009-2010. Ms. de Soliz has also served on the board of directors for the Golden Crescent Food Bank, and was an area representative for American Intercultural Student Exchange for many years, during which time she and her husband, Robert, hosted more than 40 international exchange students.
Having practices in Houston and Corpus Christi for a number of years, she has been serving the citizens of Victoria, Texas since 2000 and opened the Soliz Law Group on June 1, 2007. Her principal areas of practice are civil and criminal appeals, consumer bankruptcy and general business matters, including commercial litigation.
